Sustainability grand challenges, including climate change, are becoming increasingly important in our current economic environment.

These challenges represent new risks, such as climate risk, for institutions.

While sustainability used to be seen as a source of competitive advantage, it is now a prerequisite for successful operations. Its complexity requires companies to increase their knowledge and understanding of these new challenges, and to train their collaborators.

SPECIALIZATION 1 – UNDERSTANDING SUSTAINABILITY (3 DAYS)

  • New Business Models & Circular Economy: Understand the different types of business models (circular, hybrid, purpose-driven…) and their implications in the economy
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Discuss the importance of stakeholder engagement to tackle grand challenges and discover different strategies of stakeholder engagement 
  • Innovation for Sustainability: Discuss how innovation and technology accelerate the journey to sustainability

SPECIALIZATION 2 – REPORTING AND DECISION-MAKING (3 DAYS)

  • New Reporting Regulation: Understand the new regulations in terms of extra-financial reporting
  • Indicators for Sustainability and Climate Risk: Reflect on the different indicators to be created to measure climate risk
  • Workshop on Decision-Making, Process & KRI: Explain the company's decision-making process and associated KRIs, and learn how to incorporate climate-related considerations into both the process and the KRIs

SPECIALIZATION 3 – PREPARATION FOR SCR CERTIFICATION EXAM (3 DAYS)

  • Climate Change: Risk Management Policy, Culture, and Governance: Describe the transformation of climate risk into financial risk by identifying measurement approaches and explain its integration into risk management.
  • Measurement and Management of Climate Risks: Discuss uncertainty, variability, and accuracy in model predictions.
  • Climate Scenario - Analysis and Decision-Making: Define climate scenario analysis and its use in assessing climate risk.
